What is a CSA?
CSA = Community-Supported Agriculture. It’s like buying a share of a farm’s bounty for the season; your investment helps the farm cover costs at the beginning of the season, and that investment pays off throughout the harvest season. Some CSAs will deliver, but most have one or more locations with weekly or monthly days/times where your shares can be picked up.
Buying Clubs are a bit like a co-op grocery store without the store; it’s a membership that can be in an individual farm, or in a group of farms that bring their products to the membership.
This list of local CSAs and Buying Clubs is certainly not exhaustive; it’s what we know about right now, and we wanted to get the list out sooner rather than perfect. Please do let us know if you’re aware of any that we should add! Eventually, we’d like to add more information such as pickup cities and products offered.
Note that many of the farms below partner with others for their pickups, so you may be able to pick up your share from more than one farm in one location/day.
